Door Zone Module (DZM)

Traditional door architectures require thick, bulky wiring
harnesses to pass power and signals from the main body
controller to every component in the door (locks, windows,
mirrors, lighting). For vehicle manufacturers, this may lead
to packaging challenges as well as complex and expensive
wiring harness that may be prone to errors.

Engineered by T-Engineering AB, this robust solution
offers a pre-configured, fit to purpose door control unit.
Our low cost standard & configurable DZM acts as a
localized “brain” for the door, solving your complex door
architectural problem.

By choosing DZM, you gain a production-ready door
integration node equipped with a secure bootloader.

DZM Functions

A DZM Configuration provides a comprehensive suite of electric functions assigned to the door zone such as:

Vital Access & Safety: Full control over latches, child locks, and sensing, including a critical Post-Crash Unlock safety feature.
Intelligent Visibility: Integrated management of heated mirrors, motorized folding, and memory positioning with joystick support0
Interior Ambiance: Orchestrates the visual signature of the car, including exterior turn signals, LIN-bus ambient strips, puddle lamps, and illuminated handles.

DZM used as an UTV Body Controller

DZM has an excellent configuration for smaller UTVs.
In such application DZM uses its processor and inputs/outputs
to control all the limited but vital body control of these vehicles.

T-Engineering can use the DZM hardware as Body Controller
for almost any small vehicle application (such as); UTV,
electric city train or a small forestry machine.

DZM HW Key Characteristics

The T Engineering DZM provides a flexible ECU platform within the body domain. DZM serves as a complete controller (HW and SW) for Door but also for Roof and Trunk applications.

DZM is designed to support state-of-the-art automotive requirements including outstanding standby/sleep mode performance. DZM is configurable to react on several types of wake-up inputs (e.g. +15, Accessory, Door Ajar inputs, etc.)
